Y2 Assembly
Y2 led the school in a dramatic ?Act of Remembrance? on Thursday 15th November for their Class Assembly. The children read, acted and sang extremely well indeed, and had obviously put a lot of hard work into bringing the concept of ?Remembrance Day? to life. Congratulations to them all and to Mrs Walker! It was good to have so many of the parents with us for this occasion.

First Holy Communion
If your child is in Y3 or above and would like to prepare for their first communion, following the parish programme, please collect a form from the school or parish office. The deadline for enrolment is Thursday 29th November the same day as an Information Evening for parents to be held in the Parish Hall at 8pm.
Parish Christmas Bazaar
This is tomorrow, Saturday 17th November 9.30am-1.30pm. There will be a variety of stalls and the PTA are facilitating a visit from a very special visitor-Father Christmas, who will be available in his grotto. We are very fortunate that he can be at the church, in the build-up to his busiest time of the year. Please come along to support the parish community.
PTA
The PTA have kindly arranged for the whole school (!) to go to see ?Dick Whittington? pantomime at the Everyman Theatre on Thursday 13th December. The PTA have paid for the tickets and coaches, and I am sure the children will enjoy this special treat. Look out for a separate letter regarding this on Monday. Many thanks to those of you who sent in recipes for the Rosary School Recipe Book, which will make an ideal Christmas present!
Don?t forget the Bingo Night on Saturday 17th November, 5-8pm.
TV Chef to Visit the Rosary School!
As we have so many children who enjoy school dinners at our school, we have been chosen by Sodexho to be visited by Paul Rankin, next week. Paul will be with us on Tuesday 20th November at 10.30am. classes will be able to learn from a ?master chef? about healthy eating and how to make some delicious smoothies etc.
New Governors
We have two new Governors for the school: Melissa Gough-Rundle is our new Parent Governor, and Jacqui Sollars is a new Staff Governor. We await confirmation of the appointment of a new Foundation Governor from Bishop Declan.
Clerk to Governors
We are desperate for someone to fill this position! The post requires someone who is available to take the minutes for 6 Full Governors Meetings a year, and possibly a small number of Admissions Committee meetings. The Clerk also needs to receive Minutes from the various sub-committee meetings and distribute them to the rest of the Governing Body, by post or e-mail. The work amounts to about 50 hours in total for an academic year, and the post in paid at a G grade, with a salary of £16740-£21588 pro rata, which works out at approximately £70 per month. Please rack your brains-do you know anyone who would be willing and able to carry out this vital role? We need a Clerk to Governors for our school!
Forest Green Rovers
The first 2 out of the 6 sessions for Y5/Y6 have taken place. We were very fortunate to have the Captain Michael Brough training the children. I am sue they really benefited from his expertise. The next 6 sessions will be open to Y3/Y4, with dates to be confirmed later in a separate letter. Forest Green Rovers have a ?Kids Go Free? promotion on for the Saturday 17th November match against Histon at home. The kick off is 3pm.
